Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technology – Could this be a solution to our current energy problems and our Sky high Gas and Oil prices?
Have you heard about water fuel?
Well, it is correctly called hydrogen fuel cell technology and it is this alternative renewable source of energy that could help to conserve the Oil and Gas resources who’s use is contributing to our Climate Changes that we are currently experiencing. Oil and gas prices are higher than ever before and there will come a time when we must accept that we urgently need to consider alternative clean and renewable options for our fuel and energy sources.
Just check out this video that Honda have produced;
We already know that driving our vehicles especially in the past few decades, has contributed to our Air Pollution problems and in some cities people are forced to wear masks in order to protect the airways from the toxic build up that is still being released into our atmosphere today. Admittedly many countries and our larger cities have been affected in this same way so we have started to take action and we are now taking on board the need for cleaner fuels or better filters to remove the worst of the toxic chemicals that are being released into our environment.
Many of us have grown up using Cars as our personal transport in fact many homes have two to four cars in their house hold. Our love affair with our cars has lead to everyone of driving age wanting a car of their own and we love driving even though the prices of gas at the pump is at the highest levels than they have ever been.
So maybe it is time to look at some alternative energy sources which maybe cleaner and hopefully cheaper too. So what is this hydrogen fuel cell technology?
Hydrogen fuel cell innovation is not new. It started more or less eighty years ago but considering that it was rather expensive to develop, researchers and analysts didn’t see it as a viable option fuel source to replace Gas and Diesel Oil. Aside from the hydrogen fuel cell technology, other innovations have also arisen, such as using old frying oils and sugar cane to run an automobile. However once again, these innovations have not achieve much success because of their limitations, either the systems were too unstable or there were difficulties getting hold of sufficient materiel and other issues concerning safety on the roads. In other words, these technologies were unstable.
Hydrogen fuel cell technology is widely available. There are numerous Motoring Companies testing this and other systems such as Biodiesel and some companies are producing small model Battery Powered Cars and are engaged in building a network of Charging Stations, ready to re-charge you battery as you go shopping at the mall.
We now have a number of different systems being trialled all over the United States and also Europe and Canada are also involved in the development of these alternative fuel systems. We already have a fair number of these specialist green vehicles as they are called that are privately owned after the purchaser has requested that this technology be used on his own new vehicle and is happily driving around happy in the knowledge that he is doing his bit for life by reducing his carbon footprint
This improved technology is much more stable and is rapidly becoming widely available and as they do so the price which started being high is starting to drop and become more affordable to everyone. Just type in the search bar next time you are online for alternative fuel for cars and within the number of responses you will be able to find lots of choice even down to being available in kit form so you can build one at home!
The motoring industry in general did not find the re used Oils or the sugar cane fuels as feasible options which could be done on a large scale. So it now appears that the use of batteries to power small cars is possible and as mentioned earlier trials are being carried out right now, but it is currently only thought to be viable within larger towns and cities because the car’s range will not be that great, probably only a hundred miles or so between charges. Whereas the hydrogen fuel call technology may offer something different.
. With hydrogen fuel cell technology, you will still need to use gasoline aside from the HHO generator and the conversion device.
The conversion tool will require electrical energy from the vehicles battery and this will be used to carry out the process of electrolysis. During this process, hydrogen is given off which will be extracted from a container holding water and in turn provide the car with extra Hydrogen Gas Power. Obviously, at this time, hydrogen technology will not have us all suddenly moving away from the traditional fuels of Gasoline or Diesel.
By utilizing hydrogen fuel cell technology, it may be possible to reduce the amount of fuel you use helping you to save money. It is this reduction in cost that has combined with the need for a good alternative fuel for the auto industry that has made this push for the development of hydrogen fuel cell technology. It is highly likely that the vehicle manufacturers will come up with a viable solution to using Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technology and soon provide the public with economical hydrogen powered automobiles.
Conversion projects are fairly easy to build up yourself and they are inexpensive and are widely available on the internet. Personally I would rather pay for a proper service that way I know that the conversion is safe or better still I will await the manufacturers to come up with decent version that is properly installed and fully guaranteed.
